Grid components are connected with plug-in, positive-lock insertion. 12' main tees provide the fire rating with a single, controlled expansion point located near the splice, combined with fire-rated cross tees. Patented QUICK-RELEASE™ cross tees are easy to remove without tools decreasing renovation costs. Standard cross tees have offset, override ends that rest on main tees for better appearance, without sagging or twisting, offering a professionally finished appearance. They cantilever during installation, and will not drop out. Locking tee ends provide pullout tension values in excess of 200 lbs.
The System features UL designs (up to 3 hours), and meets or exceeds all national code requirements, including seismic, and load compliance specifications per ASTM C635.
